I just wanted to take a moment to update from my iPhone. Pretty nifty, huh?

iLine
Well, here I am, at Barton Creek Square Mall, about #90 in line and they just closed the Apple Store for the reset. I’m too far away to see if they’ve blocked off all the windows or not but maybe I’ll stroll down there in a bit to see if I can get a picture of whatever it is that I may be able to see. There are plenty of nice people in line with me (one guy calls me “Miss Dell” ’cause I brought my Dell laptop) and I brought my chair so I’m good to go until the long-awaited 6pm (local time). If you’re curious, check in on my Twitter between 6:00 & 7:00 pm and you’ll know exactly when I get out the store. I’ll post a picture once I get it all set up. Oh, I can’t wait!!!
An ex-student’s plight
One of my ex-students is going to Baylor and has applied for a special scholarship. As part of this application process, he had to create a video and it has to be voted on as the best video in this competition and he gets the scholarship. He’s currently in 2nd place and is 1/10th of a star away from 1st…and 5th. Would you mind going online and voting 5 stars for him? The voting ends tonight at 10:59 pm central time. Thanks.
Dang it.
I was going to blog about a bunch of stuff today but I didn’t get much sleep last night and I can’t seem to focus on anything long enough today. I might go take a nap…maybe I can complete that one task.
I will say that if you follow my Twitter, you’ll see that I’ve started my garden boxes and have the first one almost complete. The cedar planks that came in are beautiful and smell so nice. With all the wood ordered and cut to size, I ended up having 2 two-foot planks left over so I might make a bench or table for the back yard with them. This building thing is so much fun!!
What, no riot gear?
Okay, I guess you guys are getting sick of my iPhone posts. Yes, this post is about the iPhone but you have to read this short article about the first iPhone shipment into the US from its manufacturing plants in Asia. I can understand hype about the thing but armed guards at a freight location is getting to be a bit much.
