Another iPhone post

Oh, the anticipation is getting to be too much. I was thinking about waiting about a month or so to get my iPhone but all the talk is getting to me. I might just have to break down and wait in line next Friday for my iPhone. I’ll at least make my way to the Barton Creek Apple Store to see how long the lines are. I’ll make sure to take and post pics of what could be chaos. If it’s anything like the Apple Store at Christmas time, we’re in for a treat.

If you look at my blog list, you’ll notice that iPhone Central has appeared there. MacWorld has set up a blog with Mac, iPod and (will be) iPhone gurus letting us know about new features, etc. You can ask questions or comment on what they blog about. In fact, I’ve already got a few questions that I’ve wondered about out there. We’ll see what comes of that. I’m also excited about this because the iPhone has full web capability so if there’s a new piece of 3rd party web-based software that I’ve learned about and want to try out, I can go straight to the blog and link to the software from there. Neat, huh?

Well, 6 more days. Anybody want to endure the trip for the iPhone with me?

Lost, Season 2

When I finished the season finale, I couldn’t wait to start the next season so the next day, I stopped at Best Buy to get Season 2!! I’m already on disk 2 and I’m glad I don’t need to look at the keyboard to type ’cause I can’t take my eyes of the screen. Some of that has to do with watching the back story on the Korean characters. You have to read some subtitles for that. 😉

Anywho, if you haven’t started any of Lost yet, don’t wait for Season 4 to start to start watching. You really have to watch it from the very beginning. Oh, and in case you’re wondering, I found out that season 3 comes out on DVD in December. The one good thing about watching the series on DVD is I don’t have another show to keep up with every week. I can watch the whole thing over the holiday (summer, Christmas) seasons. 😀

Surface

Have you seen this? I’ve seen video of this before but no lengthy explaination of this new technology until Gates was on The Today Show with his demo model this morning. Looks like it’ll be available in a home version in about 2 years. Pretty cool stuff….

Lost

I had downloaded a catch up episode from iTunes which was what really made me want to see it all from the beginning. I’ve avoided watching any of Season 3 as it happens because I had a feeling (which was confirmed by Krez & Daniel) this is a show better understood and enjoyed when watched from the beginning. So, I went out and bought Season 1.

It’s a six disk set with a seventh disk that’s all bonus stuff. (I just got this yesterday so I obviously haven’t gotten to watch too much, much less get to disk 7.) I have just finished disk 1 and I can say that I am now hooked! Of course, I ask all the obvious questions – “What’s out there in the jungle?”, “Where is that signal coming from?”, “Who else has been on the island?”. I am a bit at a disadvantage to the mystery of Lost because I watched that teaser episode aired during Season 3, I kind of know what’s coming and who’s whom. Things become a little more predictable then. Anywho, it’s good stuff.

The characters cover the spectrum of human nature and as expected from a bunch of people who are stranded on a deserted island, lots of emotion. There are friendships made and conflicts that arise. If you haven’t started your Lost experience yet, I highly recommend it! 4.5 out of 5 stars.
