They’re here, they’re here, THEY’RE HERE!!!

Okay, in all my band nerdiness, I jumped for joy the second the UPS man turned away from my doorway and I shut the door because:

MY 2005 DRUM CORPS DVDs ARE HERE!!!!

Drum Corps Videos!!!!

Merry Christmas to me! Now, just to get a big screen TV or projector system like Krez has…. Maybe with the purchase of a house, that will come after!

Open your book of good…this one’s FREE!!

The SPHS Tiger Band is participating in the KEYE Marching Band Challenge. This internet-based competition is being sponsored by our local KEYE television station with the winner receiving a monetary award. You can view a portion of our UIL show through this link: http://keyetv.com/mbc/. If you would just like to cast your vote, use this link: http://keyetv.com/mbcvote/. In addition, KEYE will be coming to our school one morning during November to do a live broadcast. Watch for more information on this to come. Even if you’re not in the area or state, you can still vote for us. (The website says one vote per person but I don’t think that’s actually the case….) It would be nice to finish up the winning season winning this as well! Thanks.

A better season.

WE WON!!!
Stony Point HS beat McNeil HS in the last 14 SECONDS of the game tonight!!! It was SOOOOO exciting. I can barely stand it.

If we win next week, we are absolutely going to the playoffs…no ties! Wow, who would have thought.

This semester/school year is turning out to be better than it started. Thank goodness!

——————-UPDATE——————-
29 seconds left in the game before Stony Point quarterback Brandon Martin — who had completed just 1 of 16 passes to that point — drove the Tigers 80 yards, ending in a 1-yard touchdown pass to Cedric Alexander for an 18-17 win. (From the Austin American Statesman)
