Great movie. This movie is based on stories written by Isaac Asimov. I really wish I could have seen it on the big screen. Highly recommended if you’ve never seen it. 4.5 out of 5 stars. It’s now on my personal library wish list.
Detective Del Spooner:First of all, stop cussing cause you’re not good at it.

Quite a funny movie. Queen Latifah & Jimmy Falon make a funny pair of opposites. Again, a movie I recommend. 4 out of 5 stars.

2 Reviews Napoleon Dynamite & The Stepford Wives

Napoleon Dynamite SUCKED!!!! We couldn’t even stand to watch more than 30 mintues of it. I’m glad I didn’t go out and rent it on its own. I got it as part of my Blockbuster queue and it’s going back right away. Thank goodness mail comes tomorrow!!! I give it not even 1/2 a star.

The Stepford Wives wasn’t too bad. I wish Bette Midler’s part was more prevalent, though. She’s so funny in these roles. There were parts through the middle that that dragged on but overall, I liked the movie. The end was great, I thought. I’d never seen the original so I don’t have that to compare it to. I’ll give this flick 3 out of 5 stars.

Saturday Night Live, Best of Will Farrell

http://bigbenford.com/images/cowbell.wmv

This is such a good DVD. Almost worth getting. Aside from the Cowbell skit, there’s the Cheerleaders at the Chess Match, The Devil who trys to give hit songs to Garth Brooks (but they suck) for his soul, the Music Teachers at a Drug Free Rally and all the political skits including President Bush talking about his health (“I get 14 hours of sleep a night; every night; no matter what.”). Did you know Harry Carry’s favorite planet is the Sun? Have you also noticed that Jimmy Fallon can rarely keep a straight face when he’s in a skit with Will Farrell? Really hillarious! 4 1/2 stars out of 5!

2 Chick Flicks — Little Black Book & Someone Like You

Other than the cute ending, this movie was just a no-brainer stupid chick flick. The characters were canned, the story was predictable and the guy just wasn’t hot enough to make it worth my time. The movie’s idea kept reminding me of Someone Like You but unfortunately, it can not compare in quality. I give Little Black Book two stars out of 5.

So, I decided that I needed to flush crap movie out of my system so I popped in my copy of Someone Like You. Love that movie. Ashely Judd plays that part so well. And any movie with Hugh Jackman is a winner in my book. *sigh* The concept of “old cow”, “new cow” is hilarious and almost makes sense in some circles. It ends well, too. Highly recommended for anyone that needs a good chick flick. Someone Like You gets 4 1/2 out of 5 stars!

The Wedding Date

Cathy & I saw The Wedding Date tonight. It wasn’t bad. Of course, it was a love story but it wasn’t sappy enough to make me cry. I don’t know that I’d go out and buy it when it comes out on DVD. Dermot Mulroney is definitely worth paying a few extra bucks to see this movie, though. Debra Messing looks great in this movie. She even has moments when she’s not playing “Grace”. I’d like to get the soundtrack but one doesn’t seem to be available! 😦

Out of 5 stars, I’ll give it 3. The company, I’ll give 5 stars out of 5! 😀
