Bank bullshit update

The Big Benford Show More bank bullshit!!

I called the bank. Turns out that it didn’t go through back in September (nor will it go through this coming September) — it got lost or something — so Aramark/Relliant Stadium held it until now to put it through with any others in the same situation or something. No, there’s no statute of limitations on stuff like this. Only on those checks that say “Not valid after 90 days”. Bummer.

More bank bullshit!!

WTF??? I looked at my bank account and found this debt today. Doesn’t make any sense.

This could be from when I went to the UH vs. Rice game last September; that would have been the last (only) time I was at Reliant Stadium. If so, it took them damn long enough to put it through. Isn’t there a statute of limitations on this type of shit? But the date in the comment section says 9/5/05. Who knows. Is $14.00 worth calling about?

My ears!

I came home today to find my smoke detector going off! It was ridiculously loud (and I guess thank goodness for that, really)!! My poor cats were in complete shock and trying to find places to hide from the noise. So, I go over to the smoke detectors with a broom to push the button to make it turn off to no avail! In fact, it sent the other one going — MORE NOISE!!! I can’t even figure out why the damn thing was going off. So I called the management office and they say they’re going to send the maintenance person right over…except come to find that he and his crew went to lunch outside of the walkie talkie range. ARGH!! So, the asst manager (aka “The Idiot”) comes over with a ladder to take the damn things down and take out the batteries. *whew* That was the longest 30 – 40 minutes in my life! My poor ears are still ringing. Not good for a musician….

:-p

Argh! My head is all stopped up and hurts, my back is all stiff and in pain and on top of that, I’m sooo tired after a full nights sleep. I really hope I’m not starting to get sick. I really don’t want to spend my 2 weeks off work being sick!

Do not call list

From an email from my dad:

A directory of cell phone numbers will soon be published for all consumers to have access to. This will open the doors for solicitors to call you on your cell phones, using up precious minutes that we pay lots of money for.

The Federal Trade Commission has set up a “do not call” list. It is called a cell phone registry. To be included on the “do not call” list, you must call from your cell phone – ie – the number you wish to register.

Call 1-888-382-1222, OR go to http://www.donotcall.gov/ and add your number to the do not call list.
