New Layout

I’ve always liked this layout but I’ve never taken time to fiddle with the .css of the links area (the only part I don’t like) so I’ve not ever really used it. BUT, in honor of my moving into my house soon (I may be without “the internet” for a while *gasp*) and being able to drink coffee in my new back yard (no hot tub yet, Connie), I thought I’d go ahead and use this until the links list really pissed me off enough to stop using the layout or finally fix it.

Okay, I took 5 minutes, fixed the sidebar and now it’s how I want it. YAY!!! 😛

May 1!!!

Happy May 1 everyone!!!

In case you’re wondering what the significance of today is, it’s the start of my
BIRTHDAY MONTH

My friend Kristina & I are ones who make a point to celebrate their birthday for the majority of the month. Be ready… 😀

Back on the hunt.

The house hunt has started again. This afternoon, my realtor Karen and I looked at nearly 15 houses, with it amounting to a lot of “not quite rights”. We did find 3 houses that were basically identical in layout but very different in how they’d been lived in and marketed. Although it’s a bit smaller floorplan (not necessarily smaller than the Black Locust house) I do like the layout fairly well. It’s a pretty open floorplan that lends to good flow. Karen’s going to run the comparables for the neighborhood and see if I can offer less than asking for the one I like the most. If all works well, I should be able to schedule a closing for the end of May, as my lease runs out.

BTW, I love the Match.com working with Dr. Phil commercial. I wish there really were such things as “Available Guy Parades”…..

Breathe…

…AHHHH!!!

I love having the day off. I slept until 9 am and the day is beautiful. I’m going to open up my apartment, play some fun music, do some cleaning (that always helps make me relaxed in the end) and enjoy the day.

I’ll probably do some running on the treadmill again (I’ve started trying to get myself back in shape for the marching season early, and I’m playing in a tennis tournament next weekend). I know, I don’t run unless I’m being chased…my knees are horrible. I found a pair of orthodic insoles that have really helped aleviate some of my daily knee pain and take away the pronation I have when I stand or walk. Less knee pain=happier Cathy!!

Tomorrow, I have a meeting in San Marcos in the morning then I’m going dress shopping with my friend Kristina. I’m going to be a chaperone for Prom and we get really dressed up for Banquet so I need a pretty dress. Going with Kristina is becoming a tradition. Love it!

So, AHHH and Happy Easter to ya!
Happy Keaster!
