You guys have to check this out. This is a Hawaiian ukulele player that is playing much more than the traditional Hawaiian ukulele music. In this clip, generously streamed for me by my buddy Tom, Jake Shimabukuro plays a wicked rendition of While My Guitar Gently Sleeps. Being a big Beatles fan, I was skeptical at first (I’ve never been a fan of remakes) but once I listened to it, I can really tell he appreciate what the Beatles were doing with their song and honors that in his arrangement. So, press play and enjoy!

Thanks again Tom for sharing this with me. More music reviews to come!
That guy is just awesome! I’ve often thought that there must be a tinier instrument than a guitar to get my little fingers around. Time to get a ukelele! And, by the way, the guitar gently WEEPS, haha! Loveya! Connie
HA HA HA!! I can’t believe no one else has caught that (including me!). I guess it’s a little Freudian slip. I need more sleep!!

weeps… now, I’m weeping that a supposed Beatles fan had sleep deprivation so badly that she forgot the title!
